At Tuxedos & Tennis Shoes Catering, Pride Month is one of our favorite times of the year. Not just because we love bold color (which hey, we do), but because it reminds us of our purpose. Making people feel welcomed, celebrated, and nourished is at the heart of everything we do, and the reason why we love what we do.

We’ve pulled a few of our favorite summer dishes that show how ingredients can be used to highlight flavor and create a visually stunning experience.

Grilled Skirt Steak with Pickled Onion & Chimichurri (GF, DF)

Rich, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Our grilled skirt steak is layered over delicious garlic mashed potatoes and served with sweet, honey-glazed carrots and a generous swirl of chimichurri. The pickled onions add a pop of color and flavor to the dish that will leave your guests speechless.

Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Peach Glaze & Sweet Pepper Slaw (GF, DF)

We’re calling it now: peaches and peppers are the new summer duo of 2025. The sweet glaze, roasted carrots, and crisp slaw of bell peppers and microgreens results in a plate that feels bold, comforting, and just a little playful–perfect for Pride!

Beef Short Rib Bruschetta with Pickled Cherry & Caramelized Onion (DF)

When our servers step out to a cocktail reception with these bites, they never last long! Savory short rib meets the tart pop of pickled cherry and sweetness of the caramelized onion atop a crisp crostini for a bite will leave guests talking.

🌈 Pride-Filled Moments at the Hall at Fauntleroy

Celebrating LGBTQIA+ couples at the Hall at Fauntleroy is one of our favorite things, like ever. We love seeing how couples create their own unique vision for how they want their special day to feel and flow. For Katie and Risha’s summer wedding, they chose to walk down two aisles in our garden at the same time, so they could both experience the once-in-a-lifetime beauty of being escorted down the aisle by their family. It’s moments like these that make what we do truly so special!
